DlO—Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, April 19,1980 Upper PHILADELPHIA - Students from Upper Bucks AVTS, clinched the top two places in the Upper Bucks Invitational FFA Meats Contest. FFA members from Upper Bucks and Philadelphia Chapters, recently competed in the contest, hosted by Wes Gouldey, of Gouldey’s Meat Market, Pipersville. The contest included carcass and retail meat identification classes which tested the FFA’ers’ skills in judging pork and beef The contest was organized by Mary Miller, an agriculture teacher at Upper Bucks AVTS. Also helping with the contest were David Miller, her husband, along with Patti Hall, Rande Carney, Marty Gorodetzer, Jim Tatro, Steve Fecik, and Ed Hall. The high individual in the contest was Jamal Hamp ton, Philadelphia Chapter FFA. Total state and local funds for easement acquisition to July of this year are $3.1 million.
