Society 17 Farm Women Society 17 held their February meeting at the home of Mrs. Ira Holtzhauer, New Providence, with Elizabeth Herr and Maud Haraish serving as co-hostesses. Members voted to make a donation to the heart valve fund. The Society is having cards printed with mem bers’ names to be placed with cards or gifts from the group. February 13 was craft day at the home of Betty Aston. A safety meeting will be held in March, and Robert Shenk, Mechanics Grove, will speak on landscaping. The March meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Richard Lefever at the Buck. Lancaster Co. Society 22 Lancaster County Farm Women Society 22 held its February meeting at the home of Mrs. John Harnisb, 1036 Beaver Valley Pike, Lancaster, with Mrs. Ann Smoker was Co-Hostess. A discussion was held on the April Craft Day to check if everyone had her project and the material to go with it. A gorup of members will go to Conestoga View in March to play Bingo. A prospective member, Mrs. Russell Young, 2263 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster, was voted in as a new member. A sum of money was given to the Hershey Medical Center for the Porcine valve research Heart Fund. It was announced that the Easter Seal Society needs volunteers to stuff en velopes. Also, the Census Bureau needs help. Anyone who is able to take a part time job as a census taker should contact them. The program for the day was sewing cancer pads.
