/ Willow Street morning session WILLOW STREET The Hans Herr chapter of the Future Fanners of America elected officers at a recent meeting. These represent students attending the morning class session at the Willow Street Vocational- Technical School, according to Jim Kerr, chapter ad visor. Steve Spayd, 17, was an FFA member for three years, is from Solanco High School and is studymg horticulture at Willow Street Vo-Tech School. He now holds the office of president of the Hans Herr Chapter of the Future Farmers of America. He is also involved m Mechanics Grove Youth Group, the Robert Fulton Fire Company, the Wakefield Ambulance Crew, and for six years, the Lan caster County 4-H Dairy Club. He lives presently at Nottingham Rl. Vice-President of the Hans Herr FFA Chapter is Bar bara Gibble She attends Solanco Senior High and is in floriculture at Willow Street Vo-Tech. Barbara, 16, a Girl Scout for 9 years, and for five of those years she held the position of president. She is on the Solanco Girls Basketball Team and resides at Quarryville R 2. Her activities include the Science Club, Vidette (school newspaper staff) and her school’s Literary Magazine entitled “Burning Glass”. From Pequea Valley High School and floriculture at Willow Street Vo-Tech, is Suzanne O’Shields, treasurer. Suzanne, 16, was a member of 4-H Club for three years. Two of those year she was a secretary. FFA reporter of the Hans Herr Chapter is Ginger Roehm. She is sixteen years old and her activities mclude Student Council for three years at Lampeter- Strasburg, one of which she was secretary. She was also a freshman cheerleader at Lampeter-Strasburg. She presently attends Penn Manor High School, and is in horticulture at Willow Street Vo-Tech. Ginger is employed at Willow Street Diner, and lives at Willow Street R 2. From Pequea Valley is Shan Skethway, 16. Shan was elected sentmal of the Hans Herr FFA Chapter. She lives at Paradise R 2 and her activities mclude varsity field hockey, varsity gymnastics and the Gor donville fire company Auxiliary Shan is also m floriculture. Student advisor or parhmentanan is Bill Howard, 15. He attends Willow Street Vo-Tech for horticulture and his home school is Solanco Jr. High. President Mary Rose, 17, a senior at Solanco High School. She has been in FFA for two years. She placed third in county FFA floriculture contest, and has the greenhand degree. She lives at Nottingham R 2. Carmen Baciotti, 17, is vice president. He is a senior who goes to Lampeter Strasburg High School. He has been in FFA for two years. He placed ninth in county FFA Horticulture contest. He also is m varsity wrestling at his home school. Deb Stivly, is Secretary. She is a senior at Solanco High School. He placed first in FFA horticulture county contest and seventh in the state, and has the Star Greenhand degree. Karen Silvius is sentinel. She goes to Penn Manor High School where she is a senior, and has been in FFA for two years.
