He is the son of James and Blanche Hampton. As a member of the Philadelphia FFA Chapter, Jamal has lamb, steers, and market hog projects. He took top place honors in the Chapter Livestock Judging Contests this year. He took a first in the Chapter’s beef showmanship contest and a second in both the sheep fitting and showmanship contests. Jamal spends time competing in many livestock judging contests. He has taken two second place honors in the Chapter Jamai Hampton exhibits the Philadelphia FFA Chapter's Polled Hereford heifer. During this Summer’s state competition, Jamal earned a silver medal for his outstanding efforts in judging. In addition to his livestock projects, Jamal has maintained a hot house project. Two years ago, he took fifth place honors for his outstanding green house management. In addition to his projects, Jamal is a member of the parhmentary procedure club, the small animals club and the dairy club. Richards, the 16 year old daughter of Russell and Isabel Richards, Chester Philadelphia'will receive the State FFA Keystone Degree on January 9. As a member of the Philadelphia FFA Chapter, Tina has been involved in a variety of horse related projects. This Summer she took second place honors at Penn State University's Pleasure Horse Judging contest. A year earlier, Tina had earned an honorable men tion in the same compeition. In the past three years, Tina has competed in the Chapter Horse Judging contests. She also took fourth place honors m this year’s Chapter Dairy Judging contest. In 1977, Tina earned the Star Chapter Fanner degree and placed fourth in the quiz bowl competition. In addition to her FFA involvement, Tina is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Amencan Morgan Horse Association and the American Wild Horse Protection Association. Tina’s ambition is to be a park ranger in the U.S. Park Service. Tina would also like to establish a Quarter Horse breeding operation. Naturally her hobbies revolve around horses. ANDREW HISEMAN Walter Biddle High School As an assistant designer at the School Lane House of Flowers, Andrew Riseman has been nominated to receive the Keystone Degree. In his four years of membership in the Philadelphia FFA Chapter, Andrew has held three leadership positions. A floriculture project has been his primary FFA project. Each Holiday Season, Andrew has sold and distributed flower arrangements. He plans to attend Penn State University where he will have a double major in horticulture and business Eventually, Andrew hopes to own and operate his own flower shop Andiew Riseman is the 18 year old son of Beatrice Riseman ROBERT MARCHESANI Walter Biddle Saul High School Robert Marchesam, South 21st Street, Philadelphia, plans to major in either biology or pre-veterinary medicine in his un dergraduate studies. Later, he wants to attain a degree in veterinary medicine for practice in exotic animals and scientific research Robert is likely to achieve these goals, just as he achieved the Keystone Degree this year. Robert is the 17 year old son of William and Rosalie Marchesam. As a FFA member for nearly four years, Robert has served on the Leader ship Committee, the Scholarship Committe, and is presently serving as chairman of the Energy Conservation Committee. In the past year, Robert has participated in the supervised occupational experience program and has also served on the guiding committee. His list of FFA achievements is quite ex tensive. Among his most cherished awards is his .first place finish in the State’s Con servation Public Speaking Contest. Within the Chapter, he has earned the Beef, Dairy and public Speaking Achievement Awards. He ® also placed third in the quiz Robert Marchesani In addition to the Keystone Degree, Robert has earned both the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer Degrees. Presently, Robert is serving as vice-president of his agriculture class. His extracurricular ac tivities have included peer counseling, the debate team, membership in the National Honor Society, Laboratory Technology Club, and tutormg. He has received excellent job experience while working as an assistant to a veterinarian Robert has also been involved in a research project The project studies the physiological properties of canine tendons.
