In her four years of membership, Marilyn has served as chairman of the scrapbook and fund raising committees. She is Norlebco’s Chapter secretary and the County FFA reporter. Marilyn’s FFA projects have mcluded market and breeding swine. She has exhibited Poland China hogs at local shows and at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition. In addition to swine, Marilyn has raised dairy heifers for a project. Her involvement with agricultural organizations has not ended with FFA. She is a member of the Norlebco 4-H Dairy Club and the Lebanon County 4-H Livestock Club. She also belongs to the Tn-County Pork Producers. Paul E. Gibble PAUL ERIC GIBBLE Northern Lebanon High School Paul Enc Gibble is the 18 year old son of Harry and Naomi Gibble, of Kenbrook Road, Lebanon Paul’s FFA projects have included laying hens, and sweet com. His outstanding project book resulted m his earning a gold medal at the state project book com petition. His leadership positions have included membership on the safety committee entertainment committee, and student advisor Paul is a member of the parliamentary procedure team. In addition to the Keystone Degree, Paul has earned the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer Degrees. Paul participates on the Norlebco football and track teams. He also was a cast member in last year’s Junior Class Play. Paul plans to work at a feed mill and eventually buy his own chicken house and farm. SCOTT MONROE RITCHIE Northern Lebanon High School The Lebanon County FFA President, Scott Monroe Ritchie, will receive the Keystone Degree m January 9 at the State FFA Con vention. Scott’s primary FFA project has included on farm work experience. He has also worked at the Rigid Ply Rafters in Lebanon and will continue to work their after graduation. In addition to being the County President, Scott has been the chaplain, assistant secretary, and vice president of the Norlebco FFA Chapter. Scott has earned the Star Greenhand, Chapter Farmer and County Farmer degrees He has been a member of the parliamentary procedure team for the past four years. This year he serves as president of the team. Scott is a member of the varsity wrestling team and participated on the football team this past year. Lehigh County TODD A. CARY Lehigh County Vo-Tech Todd A. Cary, the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cary, will be returning to Harrisburg from Illinois on January 9 to receive his Keystone Degree. In recent months, Cary has moved with his family to Illinois. However, while living in Lehigh County he worked hard as a member of the Lehigh County Vo-Tech’s Chapter. He was president of the county chapter and served as a reporter the year before. Todd’s FFA projects in cluded dairy heifers. He participated in the State Farm Show in 1978, and the Allentown and Kutztown Fairs. While a FFA member, Todd earned the Star Greenhand award. He participated on the livestock and dairy judging teams. In addition to his FFA involvement, Todd exhibited a 4-H project steer. Since he presently resides in Illinois, Todd plans to attend Illinois State University and major in agriculture production. DONALD HAAS Lehigh County Vo-Tech Donald Haas, a member of the Lehigh County FFA Chapter, has been chosen to receive the Keystone Far mer Degree. He is the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Haas, of R 2 Orefield. During his three years of FFA membership, Donald has participated in the Allentown Fair, the Kutz town Fair, the Southeast Area hog round-up, Penn State Days and the Farm Show. Among his FFA projects are breeding swine and market swine; and the gram projects com, oats and buckwheat. Donald was awarded Greenhand m 1977, Chapter Farmer in 1978 and served as Farm Show Student Advisor in 1979. He also received" a bronze medal in the Market Swine Project Book., An avid sportsman, Don enjoys hunting, fishing and Donald R. Haas snowmobilmg. He is also <•' wrestler with the North Western Lehigh Team. Donald is active in the 4-H Livestock Club, and has served as president and treasurer of the 4-H Swine Club. In the future, Don plans to own his own farm and have a breeding and marketing swine operation. He would also like to sell seed corn for one of the seed companies. RONALD HAAS Lehigh County Vo-Tech Lehigh County FFA Vice President Ronald Haas will receive the Keystone Far mer Degree at the State FFA Convention in Harrisburg on January 9. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Aden Haas of R 2 Orefield, 18 year old Ron has been a member of the Lehigh County FFA for three years. Ronald R. Haas Dunne that time his projects have included market swine, corn and barley. He has participated in the Allentown Fair and the Farm and Home Show. Ron served as the FFA Orange Sale chairman and is currently the Area Chaplain He has been awarded the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer, as well as the Swine Proficiency Bronze. A member of the Nor thwestern Lehigh Wrestling Team for four years, Ron also enjoys snowmobilmg and hunting He served as vice president of the 4-H Swine Club in 1977 and again this year. Ron’s future plans mclude owning his own corn farm RUSSELL SCHANTZENBACH Lehigh County Vo-Tech Russell Schantzenbach, the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Schantzenbach of R 3 Coopersburg, has earned the 1980 Keystone Farmer Degree. A three year member of the Lehigh County FFA, Russ has participated in the Allentown Fair, the Kutz town Fair, the Southeast Area Swine Show, the Farm Show and Penn State Days. His FFA projects mclude dairy heifers, market hogs and com, wheat and oats. Russ also served on the orange sales committee. Having already been awarded Greenhand and Chapter Fanner degrees, Russ will receive his Keystone Degree at the State FF A Convention in Harrisburg on January 9. A volunteer with the ' Lower Milford Township Fire Company, Russ lists his hobbies as hunting, trap ping, fishing and repairing engmes. Russell plans to run his father’s farm m the future. Russell Schantzenbach TIMWESSNER Lehigh County Vo-Tech Eighteen year old Tun Wessner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Wessner of R 2 New Tripoli, will be awarded the Keystone Farmer "Degree January 9 at the Forum Building in Harrisburg, during the State FFA Convention. Tun has been active in the Lehigh County FFA for three years with projects in cluding breeding swine and market swine. He served on (Turn to PageD42)
