The citrus, vegetable seed, BOAC, recreation, leadership, and banquet are a few of the committees on which Phillip has served. Presently, Phillip is the chairman of the Earning, Saving, and Investment committee. STEPHEN P. ROBINSON Gettysburg Senior High School Stephen Robinson is the 17 year old son of Paul and Betty Robinson of R 2 Biglemlle. As a four year member of the Battlefield FFA Club, Stephen has earned the Greenhand, Chapter, County and now the Keystone Degree. His primary FFA project has been the finishing of two steers. He raises five acres of held com and two acres of sweet com. This year he also produced 50 acres of hay and 10 acres of apples. Stephen has been active on the vegetable seed, fruit sales, scholarship and BOAC committees. For two years, he placed first in the county forestry contest. In his junior year, he took third place honors in the county small gasoline engine contest. Stephen has also par ticipated in land and livestock judging com petitions Eventually, Stephen hopes to own his own farm. Until that tune, he will continue working on the farm Stephen P. These dairy projects have been a part of his FFA program as a member of the Battlefield FFA Club. John is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs Thomas Clowney of R 9 Gettysburg This year John also has eight acres of alfalfa, haylage, and 25 acres of com silage to support his dairy project. John will receive the State’s Keystone Degree on January 9. Previously, he earned the Greenhand, Chapter, and Adams County Farmer degrees. In the past two years, John has been the Battlefield’s Chapter chaplain and sen tmal. He has served on the banquet and citrus fruit committees. After graduation, John would like to attend trade school and become a mechanic. He will contmue to work on his father’s farm. DAVID KELLER Gettysburg Senior High School David Keller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Keller of R 4 Gettysburg As a member of the Battlefield FFA Chapter, David a variety of projects Every year he has finished one steer, and had planted Winter wheat, mixed hay, com and oats. In addition to the Keystone Degree, David has earned the Star Greenhand and Adams County Apple Degree He is the FFA’s Chapter representatives to Old Guard the Gettysburg student council. He has also served on the BOAC committee, clean-up committee, restoration committee and cooperation committee. Berks County ERNEST GELSINGER Conrad Weiser High School Ernest Gelsinger, a Conrad Weiser High School senior, will receive the Keystone Degree during special ceremonies at the Wmter FFA Convention in Harrisburg. Ernest is the only Conrad Weiser FFA member to for Your Application: MARTIN'S MACHINERY receive the Degree this year. Ernest is the vice president of the school’s FFA Chapter and is reporter of the County Chapter. Last year, Ernest was elected the Chapter president and served as the County chaplain. Not only has Ernest held local and county offices, he has been involved in numerous committees. He was chairman of the cooperation, seed and bulb sales, conduct of meetings, scholarship, and recreations committees. The supervised agricultural occupational experience committee, the earnings, saangs, and in vestments committee, and public relations are some of the additional committees on which Ernest has served A highlight of his FFA involvement was his second place finish in the State Land Judging Contest at Penn ~Tn ■" >■" jiyv- ■ 1 State He is looking forward to travelling to Oklahoma for the national contest in May.
