Power Play, was entered in the international com petition by Penn State, along with McKean Brothers, Mercer; B. Meier, Jackson, Missouri; and Summitcrest Farms, Summitville, Ohio. Power Play was the top ranked senior bull during the show. The reserve grand FTC sees no action against egg booklet JAMAICA, N.Y. - The Federal Trade Commission has advised the National Commission on Egg Nutrition that “no com pliance action by the Commission is indicated at this time. A new version of NCEN’s booklet “Eggs: Your Diet and Your Health” stimulated a number of FTC objections. John Wallace, chairman of the National Commission on Egg Nutrition, stated that the FTC decision was given NCEN in a letter signed by Carol M. Thomas, FTC secretary. This junior and grand champion was exhibited by Weaver Angus Farm, Peoria, Illinois. Weaver Angus also won the Breeders Best Six Head class. Stacia Ellis, Greetown, Indiana, took reserve grand champion heifer honors with E&W Enchantress G2l. The heifer earlier had topped the intermediate division. Sayre Patriot sired the winning get-of-sire and junior get groups. Mr. and Don Colleton. The editing elicited the comment from the FTC that “These modifications appear to be responsive to most of the objections noted in this letter.” The existing supply of the booklet will be destroyed and NCEN has advised poultry and egg organizations to discontinue its use and not distribute any remaining copies. Should NCEN elect to resume publication of the booklet, Chairman Wallace observed, the FTC staff “stands prepared to review it.” The decision whether to publish again will be con sidered m the light of the time taken by the FTC for its last review. Wampum, shown by Knop Angus Farm, Ida Grove, Iowa; Sir William Angus, Hillsdale, New York; and Maltzahn Angus, Canada. In intermediate bull competition, Briarhill Jay came out on top. He was owned by Briarhill Angus Farm, Union Springs, Alabama; Picket Fence Farm, Grayslake, Illinois; Lincoln Land Angus Farm, Fisher, Illinois; and Woodland Farm, Creston, Illinois. Stahl and Son from State College, Pennsylvania. In the heifer show, the reserve junior champion was Rhoda Blackbird 200 K, shown by Radar Farm. Bruce Haas from Leßoy, Illinois, exhibited the reserve intermediate female, Blackbird Lass EY4. The senior heifer calf competition was won by Double HH Erica 8530, an entry of Double HH Farms, while the reserve title went to Summitcrest Irene K3BB shown by Jeffrey Johnson from Summitville, Ohio.
