Cow 17 in the Lary and David Noss herd, Port Royal, made 856 pounds fat, 20,581 milk. Rodney Conrad’s cow number 23 made 854 pounds fat, 24,906 milk at his Mif flintown farm. Cow 27 .at Marigold Knob Farm, Port Royal, made 842 pounds fat and 20,662 milk. Two cows owned by Mervin R. Zendt, Mif flintown, turned in top production. Dandy had 813 pounds fat, 21,137 milk. And Dot made 790 fat, 19,538 milk. Another Dot, this one owned by S.F. Metz, Mif flintown, produced 780 pounds fat, 20,561 fat. Cow 53 in the Depew Brothers herd, MifQintown, made 775 pounds fat, 19,433 milk. Her fat record was equalled by James C. Graham’s Trudy who made 18,113 pounds milk on the Port Royal farm. The five top herds in average butterfat produc tion per day are as follows: Larry and David Noss, Port Royal, 2.36; Kenneth Deamer, Thompsontown, 1.98; ,W. Harshbarger and Sons, Mifflintown, 1.95; Mark L. Zook, Mifflin, 1.89; and Elmer A. Noss and Son, Honey Grove, 1.88 pounds butterfat per cow.
