Two steam locomotives, a sawmill and shingle mill will be in operation. A light lunch will be prepared by the Kmzer Fire Company. The R&T Ladies Auxiliary will be making homemade ap plebutter. Combines, corn pickers, forage harvesters are working full-tilt to gather the crops. With harvest in full-swing, tours of several nearby Somerset County farms have been scheduled for Sunday, October 7, frqm 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. “Agriculture in Action Day,” is sponsored by the Somerset and Hunterdon County Boards of Agriculture and the Cooperative Extension Service. Held last year for the first time by the Somerset County Board, the affair was very well received. It’s aim was to offer the public an op portunity to see first-hand the agricultural practices employed by area farmers in the production of several important commodities.
