The National Shorthorn Show will be using ’ a' three man composite system for the first time with Roger Hunsley, Purdue University; Miles McKee; Kansas State University; and Joe Woods, Frankfort, In., serving as the team officials. ~ . A business meeting is scheduled for November 12 in the West Hall of the Kentucky Exposition Center. Agenda highlights, • Hof strand said, will include the election of national officers and the filling of the three directors’ seats whose terms expire. Hofstrand said recognition will be given to Shorthorn and Polled Shorthorn producers at the evening banquet with the presen tation of awards that will include Sire of the Year, Century Club winners, Junior Breeder of the Year and the announcement of the three recipients of the Shorthorn Foundation-Oon Longley Memorial Scholarships to members of the American Junior Shorthorn Association. The National Shorthorn Lassies, the women’s auxiliary of the association, will be having their national annual' meeting the same dates. - The meeting will also host the crowning of the National Shorthorn Lassie Queen at the annual banquet. Ac cording to Wilma Russell, Fullerton, Ne., coordinator of the event, 16 young ladies will vie for the national crown now worn by Mary McLaughlin, Woodsfields, Oh.
