144 —Lancaster Firming, Saturday, September 8,1979 Berks County holds annual READING-The Berks County 4-Hers held their annual 4-H fair on August 23. It was held in the 4-H Center located behind the Berks County Agricultural Center. Numerous activities were held throughout the day including: volleyball tournaments, fishing rodeo, dunking booth, fun carnival, and laugh Olympics in ad dition to the usual 4-H exhibit contests. A chicken bar becue was served in the evening. An evening program in cluded the auctioning of baked goods, fashion show, gong show, talent contests, and an award presentation. Approximately 600 4-H’ers Winners chosen at Buck Tractor Pulls BUCK-The Buck Tractor Pull competition was held as usual, Saturday evening, September 1. The pulls in cluded open, modified, super stock, and four wheel drive classes. The top three placings in each class are as follows: 5500 Four Wheel Drive 1.
