Advancing wholesales beef prices which began late last week and continued during the forepart of this week, coupled with reduced marketings of slaughter steers and heifers appeared to be bullish factors con tributing to the advance in live prices. The advance in hve prices was the first weekly upturn in more than two months and followed eight consecutive weeks of steadily declining prices for slaughter steers and heifers.
