Dave, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith, Denver R 2, showed a crossbred bred by Homestead Farms. Weighing 195 pounds, his pig was first named the light weight class champion. Dave also placed second in junior fitting competition. The reserve champion was purchased by Hatfield Packing company at $l.BO a pound. There were a total of 60 exhibitors, with 328 hogs sold at auction.
