WALTER H. RISSER, Proprietor Through midweek, slaughter steers were 3.00 to 3.50 lower. Heifers were 2.00 to 2.75 lower. Cows were 2.00- 2.50 higher. Bulls fully steady. Four day receipts 9150 compared 14425 last week and 13025 year ago. Despite moderate to small receipts, demand was forced into a bearish situation due to severe price declines in the dressed beef trade. The live trade locally stabilized to some extent Wednesday due only to small receipts following earlier price declines. Yield grade con tinued to be a demand factor with the best interest for yield grade 2-3. Cow receipts were small following the previous week’s sharp price downturn, the best demand continued for cutter and boning utility. Steers made up approximately 55 pet., heifers 30 pet., cows 9 pet. and feeders 5 pet. of the week’s total receipts.
