It will be held August 14, 6:30 p.m. at the Lampeter fairgrounds. Lancaster Co. Society 25 Lancaster Co. Farm Women Society 25 met June 9 at the home of Mrs. Samuel Goss, Millersville. Kneg urged the ladies to be proud of their country and be interested in life in other parts of the United States. Donations will be made to the dairy princess contest and to the Blind Association. Several members will attend the Somerset County Convention on October 16. The next meeting will be July 14 and will be at the Indian Springs Golf Club where members will play miniature golf. Families are invited. Lancaster Co. Society 29 On June 18 Lancaster County Farm Women Society 29 held a safety 123 meeting at tne Mount Joy Fire Hall. Fireman Frank Good opened the program by describing the different types of fire extinguishers. He explained how each type operates and where to purchase. He then talked on smoke detectors use. A business meeting was conducted afterwards by acting President Jane Garber. Roll call was taken with 10 members being present. Co-hostesses Mary Ellen Adamire and Janis Orager served the group homemade ice cream with various toppings. Next month’s meeting will be a family picnic at the Sam Lewis State Park July 29, with lunch starting at 1 p.m. Members are to bring one hot and one cold dish plus a place setting. The Society will provide hamburgers hot dogs and drink. York Co. Society 12 Mrs. Margaret Fake hosted the recent meeting of the York County Farm Women Society 12. The ladies met at the Fiddler’s Association Building. A plant sale was also featured. Society 12 will be the guests of Society 7,6:30 p.m. at the United cChurch of Christ, Starview.
