The farmers must also conform to manure management standards set by the state’s Department of Environmental Resources (DER). Dead animals must be refrigerated until they are incinerated. Restrictions on the incinerator include; 6 a m. to 6 p.m. on week days, April through October; and 8 am to 2 p.m. November through March. The in cinerator cannot be run on national holidays, the board said Several residents tried to speak out at the meeting but, they were told the hearing was held last month. The slurry store would be built by A. 0. Smith Har vestore Products Inc. of New Holland, they said. On June 16th, a meeting will be held to weigh and tag all market lambs. A grooming and blocking practice session will be held. On Wednesday, July 18th a covered dish picnic will be held at 7 p.m. for members and their families at Maier’s Grove. 23
