Four day receipts 13800 compared 12500 for three days last week and 14700 a year ago. The fed cattle trade was generally a bearish affair as live prices wei e again forced sharply downward in reflection of the continued severe declines in carcass trading where demand was characterized as light to moderate most days. The current price declines left ■Jeer prices 9.00-9.50 below "e mid-April peak and heifer prices some 8.00 off. Buyers were again on the cautious side as they sought to maintain an acceptable ratio between current' live prices and rapidly deteriorating carcass trade. An additional bearish factor was injected by the uneasiness over available transportation facilities.
