Slaughter heifers steady to 1.00 lower. Cows firm to mostly 1.00 higher. Bulls steady. Slaughter sup ply fully 50 per cent slaughter steers, about 30 per cent heifers and 15 per cent cows. Both slaughter steers and heifers declined on Monday following some sharp price declines a week earlier in the wholesale dressed beef trade. However, this trend was quickly reversed when the dressed beef trade recovered some of the price declnes of a week ago. Price up turns m the live trade were registered Tues day and Wednesday to offset much of the earlier price declines, with the mid-week trade lightly tested.
