Lancaster Co, Society 21 Kitty Ambler hosted the recent meeting of Lancaster County Farm Women Society 21. Betty Meek and Lois Aument served as co— hostesses. Society members were in charge of a food stand at Kreider’s sale on April 20th. a donation was made to the Lancaster County Dairy Princess Pageant. The program was a wrapped white elephant sale auctioned by Joan Rohrer. The sale netted $41.10. York Co, Society 1 Evelyn, Dallmeyer hosted the May 2 meeting of York County Farm Women Society 1. Nineteen mem bers and two guests were present The door pnze was won by Mae Houston. Three members volun teered to asssist at the York Hospital Fete. The County Picnic will be held at the 4-H Center on August 1. The Society will attend a -dinner theatre party at Wisehaven "Careful ellin on October lOth.The Society also plans to have a bakeless bakesale. The next meeting will be held at Esther Yeager’s on June 6th. York Co, Society 17 Ida Kearns hosted the recent meeting of York County Farm Women Society 17. Fourteen members were present. The Society made donations towards cancer research, and the New Life for Girls program. Emma Lehman will host the May 14 meeting Society 17 will hold a garage and bake sale on May 18 and 19, at the Joe Kimmel Farm between Dillsburg and Franklintown. Free coffee will be served.
