At her first attempt in raising sheep, Janis Longenecker made money. Janis, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Longenecker, Denver Rl, was the recipient of the sheep production award. Janis showed at local fairs and she also won a chain lamb this year. Soil and Water Management was awarded to Sandy Weaver, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira S. Weaver. Sandy placed third in the state land judging contest and will compete in the national FFA land judging contest to be held in Oklahoma this Spring. Raising market hogs won the swine production award for Craig Fox. Darlene was one of the most hardest workers, serving on various com mittees according to her ag teachers. She served as second news reporter, and had a work experience project. Darlene was named the Star Chapter Degree winner.
