— Lancaster Farming, Saturday, April 7,197 S 16 Grassland environmental FFA honors members By JOAN LIESAU BLUE BALL - The Grassland Environmental FFA Chapter honored members and parents at their annual banquet held at the Blue Ball Fire Hall on March 29. Over 250 people attended. Proficiency awards were given to 14 of die members. Receiving the beef production award was Patti Brubaker. Patti is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Brubaker, East Earl El. Tammy Horning, daughter of mr. and Mrs. John Horning, Bowman sville, was named the Fish and Wildlife Management winner. Since Tammy lives in town, she used the resources which were available to her. Tammy made many displays for the Garden Spot agriculture The Star Chapter Greenhand award was presented to Lowell Graybill at the Garden Spot High School, Grassland Environmental FFA Chapter awards banquet recently. Cindy, tiie daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Good, East Earl Rl, also kept good records. Called an enthusiastic and hardworking individual by her ag instructor, Dana Annbrust, was named the horse proficiency winner. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Annbrust. Veal calves were the major enterprise of Calvin Weaver. Calvin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd W. Weaver, New Holland Rl, was the recipient of the livestock production award. On the basis of working at Chuchar Hill Animal Farm, Gerry Weaver received the outdoor recreation award. Gerry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira S. Weaver, works with and takes care of exotic animals. Placement in agriculture production went to Keith Homing, Keith , the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Homing, Denver Rl, worked at Stauffer’s Orchard, Denver Rl, for his ex periece.
