Farm Women Societies Berks Co, Society 4 Beluah Risser hosted the January meeting of Lan caster County Farm Women Society 4. President Nancy Miller asked the Society for fund raising suggestions for the new year. Helen Bnghtbill replaced Pat Eartdorf on the gift comiftittee. Lancaster Co, Society 14 The Lancaster County Farm Women Society 14 met at the home of Thelma Mylin on January 17. The day was . spent sewing -125 Bed Pads were completed for the PLANNED PROGRAM Cancer Society. Hostesses were Elma Barge, Miriam Groff, Rhoda Landis and Meryl Meloy. In the afternoon, Becky Buckwalter of Herbcraft had a display of herbs and gave many interesting ways to use herbs, artistically and for seasoning, as well as how to start an herb garden. Miriam Leaman and Rhoda Landis gave highlights of the State Convention held at Harrisburg. The next meeting will be held February 14 at the home of Marion Rohrer. Lancaster Co, Society 22 Twenty-five members attended the January meeting of Lancaster County Fann Women Society 22 which met at the Farm and Home Center. Refreshments were served by hostesses, Jeanette Miller and Gwyn Martin. A donation was made to the Ephraim Blank family whose home was destroyed by fire. Evelyn Sempier, formerly Miss America, will be the guest speaker at the Spring Rally to be held May 16. The F ebruary meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Jay Landis, 166 Short Lane, Lancaster. Lancaster Co, Society 30 Mrs. Carol Homing, New Holland, hosted the January 15 meeting of the Lancaster County Farm Women Society 30 to an old fashioned taffy pull. Co hostess for the evening was Mrs. Helen Zimmerman, East Earl. President, Mrs. Carol Weaver, New Holland, conducted the business meeting. Installed as a new member was Mrs. Lorraine Landis, Strasburg. The February meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lupe Fox, Terre Hill. Lebanon Co, Society 14 Mrs. Rodger Brandt, Palmyra Rl, hosted* the January meeting of the Lebanon County ‘ Farm Women Society 14. Co-_ hostess was Mrs. Ezra Buchmoyer. Fourteen members were present. President -Mrs. - George Umgemach led the business meeting. Donations were made to the Kidney Fund and the Mike Horst Fund. Plans were made to par ticipate in the Good Neighbor Bazaar at the Lebanon Valley Mall on February 12 to 17. Mrs. Elvm Miller of Palmyra R 2 will host the February 20 meeting at 7:30 p.m. York Co, Society 9 Seventeen members at tended the January 9 meeting of York County Farm Women Society 9 at the home of Mrs. Edward Shue. Reidel. State convention reports were ' given by representatives Genete Sellers, Mr. Philip Butcher and Mrs. Lamar Lehman. Genete Sellers and Mrs. Richard Anderson were in charge of -the program', which featured John Seif fert, representing the York branch of the American Heart Association. A film and literature of the Heart Association activities were presented by Seiffert. Mrs. Lamar Lehman will be hostess for the February 14 meeting. York Co, Society 20 York County Farm Women Society 20 met recently at the home of Clara Stauffer, with 13 members attending.
