Poultry Prices ranged slightly higher on light type hens. Farm offerings barely adequate to short of a good processor interest. Oc casional lots of colored hens noted moving at 22% cents FOB plants. Offerings of heavy hens fully adequate for a fair steady call. Prices paid at farm: light type hens 12-13%, mostly 13- 13%; FOB plant 15-16, mostly 15%-16. Heavy type hens TFEWR. Small 62- 63- 56- 57- 66-67 62-65 Ready-to-cook movement fairly good on U.S. Grade A, Lgt to fair on balance. Slaughter schedules reduced m some quarters, while fully steady in others. Todays LIT. asking prices mostly 46 on Plant and 47 on U.S. Grade A. Live supplies adequate to barely adequate. Undertone weak and unsettled. Current broiler/fryer negotiations for immediate delivery includes-mostly multiple-drop shipments to New York City from Delmarva.
