Other champions in the market lamb classes were: Julie Kuzemchak, lightheavyweight champion; Christian Herr, Narvon R 2; champion mediumweight and reserve lightheavyweight champion; Jay Bauer, Scottdale, champion lightweight; Cindy Donough, Cham bersburg R 6, reserve champion lightweight; and Kenneth Brubaker, reserve champion mediumweight market lamb. In the junior breeding sheep classes, several champions were chosen. Teresa Fink, Slatington, showed both he champion and the reserve champion in the Cheviot classes. She showed a yearling ewe, known as “81”, which had been named the reserve champion in the Farm show open show held earlier in the week. Barbara Herr, 15, Narvon R 2, had both the champion and the reserve champion Dorset ewes. Both lambs born last October, the animals were “home grown”. This is her third FArm Show championship, and the first time she cap tured both of the top awards. * > „*4?~ v Vv, a-, T • <- Sarah Brubaker, Lan caster, showed her yearling Hampshire ewe “Angie” to be named the top animal in that division. This is her second year in showing a Farm Show champion. David Lytle, New London, showed the reserve cham pion Hampshire ewe. In the Shropshire com petition, Bill MacCauley, Atglen R 2, showed the champion ewe. His entry competed in the lamb class, and was an animal that he won through his 4-H club. The reserve champion was shown by Barbara Short, New Brighton. Gary Kwisnek, Clarksburg, exhibited the champion Southdown ewe and David Hifff, Lafayette Hill, showed the reserve champion. In the Suffolk competition, Bill MacCauley exhibited the champion Suffolk, a yearling, and James Stauffer, Lancaster, showed the reserve champion animal. In the sheep blocking contest, Barbara Herr won the top honors, a first for her in that contest at the Farm Show. Laurie Dobrosky, Glen Rock, placed second, Bethann Nehoda, Doylestown was third, Ann Baroni, Downmgtown; was fourth; and Bill MacCauley placed fifth.
