Darryl Rohrbaugh captures Guernsey titles
By DIETER KRIEG
HARRISBURG - York
Countian Darryl Rohrbaugh
came to the Farm Show with
one cow this week, but went
back home with double
honors. The 14-year old New
Freedom youth captured the
top title for both the youth
and open divisions of the
Guernsey show, marking the
first time ever that he
showed grand champions at
the Farm Show. The son of
Mr. and Mrs. George
Rohrbaugh, the boy is well
known,- however, for his
accomplishments at other,
equally prestigious shows.
For example, he has been no
stranger to the All-American
Dairy Show that is held here
annually in September.
Leo Rutter of Rutter Brothers Dairy, York,
displays the two plaques won by his family at the
Farm Show. They were named premier breeder
and premier exhibitor.
