Farmers meeting planned NEWARK, Del. - A management course for Delaware’s small farmers will be held on Wednesday evenings, November 15 through December 6, at the Twin Road Restaurant in Harrington, Del. Classes begin at 7 p.m. The purpose of these in formal meetings is to provide the small farmers of Delaware with the latest information on operating a small farm Cooperative Extension Service specialists and farm agency experts will discuss efficient use of capital, agricultural chemicals, marketing techniques, and farm records On November 15, Howard Henderson and Bill Walmsley of Farmers Home Administration will speak about financing, loans, and merational costs November 5 by the Penn sylvania Livestock Association as the state’s Outstanding 4-H Livestock Member. Denise, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde W. McConaughey, Smicksburg Rl, has participated in numerous projects, clubs and activities in her nine years of 4-H Club work. She has held all offices with the exception of gameleader and songleader. In her 4-H work she has been involved with the Northern Livestock Club, Northern Dairy Club, Over the-Hill 4-H’ers, Indiana 4-H County Council, and 4-H advisory Committee. Her projects have included swine, dairy health, veterinary science, safety, home management and furnishings, crocheting, meat, small change, On November 22, Delaware extension crops specialist Frank Webb will discuss pesticides and herbicides. Delaware extension marketing specialist Carl German will offer marketing advice at the November 29 session. The final meeting in the senes, December 6, will begin with an optional pre meeting dinner for par ticipants and their guests at 7 p.m. At 8 p.m. the featured speaker, Delaware ex tension farm management specialist Dr. Don Tilmon, will explain record keeping procedures A record keeping manual will be provided by the Extension Service.
