Teresa told the women that she has traveled over 1000 miles already and hopes to visit over 1000 school children during her reign, and Faye Strickler, Extension home economist told the group of upcoming events. Also addressing the farm women was George Meiser, a ninth grade teacher at the Wyomissing Area Middle School. Meiser showed slides and gave a presentation of the many historical sites of Berks County. Elected for the new term were: President-Darlene Yost, Bernville; Vice- President-Verna Taylor, Boyertown; and Secretary- Cindy Hetrick, Oley.
