Lancaster Conservation District was recognized for its high attendance at
director meetings. They were also named second in the Goodyear awards, and
first in the annual report contest. Presenting the award is Walter N. Peechatka,
executive secretary of the State Conservation Commission and Bruce Holbrook,
field representative of the State Conservation Commission. '

firmly believes that this kind
of education is essential to
basic understanding of the

tomorow. This past year
over 10,000 people attended
the nature center. En
vironmental education
programs have been ex
panded and numerous other
programs were conducted.
Donald Burger is a senior
high school science teacher
and staff leader of the
