Heavyweight Champion Charles Brown Hookstown Grange honored HARRISBURG - The 1978 Community Service Award of the Pennsylvania State Grange has been won by Hookstown Grange, Beaver County, State Grange Master J. Luther Snyder announced. The winner was selected on the basis Of its leadership in operating the 32nd annual Hookstown Fair. The proceeds of this fair are used for a number of civic projects and scholarships. Hookstown Grange also sponsored a public blood pressure clinic and an Easter Party for local pre schoolers. Second place in the competition was won by Hayfield Grange, Crawford County, for its formation of a social club for deaf people. Hayfield grange provided facilities and refreshments for the meetings. Third place went to Brokenstraw Grange, Warren County, for its work to create a community hall where all the local groups of Brokenstraw Valley could hold their meetings.
