IMs cups milk
3 tablespoons flour
Ms cup lemon juice
grated rind of one lemon
IMs cups granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons melted butter
3 egg whites
Mix all ingredients except
egg whites. Beat egg whites
and then fold into mixture.
Pour into an unbaked pie
shell. Bake 40 to 50 minutes

QUICK REFRIGERATOR
ICECREAM
1 can condensed milk
1 cup cold water
2 cups whipping cream
V* teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla or banana
extract
Dilute milk with water.
Add flavoring and salt, add
cream and mix well. Place
in container in freezer of
refrigerator and let freeze.
Serve cold.

APPLE PUDDING
2% tablespoons butter
2 cups sliced apples
V* cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Vi cup butter
Vz cup granulated sugar

1 cup sifted flour
1% teaspoons,baking powder
Vt teaspoon salt
% cup buttermilk or sour
milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt butter in baking pan.
Remove from heat and
butter sides of pan. Place
apples in butter pan. Mix
sugar and nutmeg and
sprinkle over apples. Cream
butter and sugar together
thoroughly. Add egg and
beat well. Add to creamed
mixture the buttermilk and
vanilla, alternately with the
dry ingredients. Pour batter
over apples and bake un
covered at 375*F. for 35
minutes or until apples test
done. Invert on serving dish
and serve warm. Or serve
cold with spiced whipped

APPLE SAUCE CAKE
1 cup sugar (granulated or
brown)
Ms cup shortening

1 cup flour
% teaspoon salt
Ms teaspoon baking powder
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon baking soda
% teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
Cream shortening and
sugar together, until
creamy. Add egg and mix.
Add remaining ingredients
and stir or mix until well
blended. Bake in a greased 9
inch pan at 350*F. for 30 to 35
minutes or until done.

BUTTERSCOTCH FUDGE
2 cups confectioner’s sugar
3 ounces cream cheese
1 package butterscotch
morsels
V* teaspoon vanilla
1 cup miniature mar-
shmallows
Mix sugar, and cream
cheese together. Melt but
terscotch morsels with salt
and vanilla. Mix well. Add to
sugar mixture. Then add
marshmallows. Stir until
well mixed. Turn into well
greased BxB inch pan and
refrigerate until firm enough
to suit.

BUTTERSCOTCH PEE
2 cups brown sugar
3% cups boiling water
Vz teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Vz cup butter
3 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1% cups flour
3 cups milk
little salt
Boil brown sugar, water,
soda, vanilla, and butter
while mixing remaining
ingredients. Mix eggs,
granulated sugar, flour,
milk and salt. Add to brown
sauce and cook until thick.
Pour into two baked pie
shells. Let cool.

CHOCOLATE CANDY
% cup butter
4Vz cups granulated sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup marshmallow creme
1 bar 13 oz. sweet chocolate
(grated)
12 ounces semi-sweet
chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups walnuts (chopped)
Combine sugar, butter,
and milk. Boil for 5 Vz
minutes. Remove from heat
and add remaining
ingredients, except nuts.
Beat until well mixed. Add
nuts. Spoon into buttered
pan. Let cool.
