    Sunday hogs win York 4-H round-up

THOMASVILLE - The
York Livestock Market is an
active supporter of the York
County 4-H program. Not
only did the auction host the
August 16 swine roundup, it
also paid $2.20 per pound for
the champion animal.
Winning of the top honors
at the roundup was. a family

champion fitter during the
day-long show. He is son of
Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin

Reserve champion fitter was
Michele Bankert, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Bankert, Hanover R 3.
Showmanship winner was
Jeff Wilson of New Freedom
and reserve showman was
Ctuis Sunday.
Average price on the total
of 39 head at the roundup
including the champions was
Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, August 26,1978
$66.05 per hundredweight.
Without the two top animals,
the save average was $58.29
hundredweight.
The York Livestock
Market purchased a total of
four head and Blair
Mountain Stock Farm took
home two. Other multiple
buyers were Hatfield
Packing, four head,
Spangler and Sprenkle, Inc.,
three head, and Sechrist
Sales, two bead.
Also supproting the
roundup sale with purchases

Ray Mummert, Roger
Bankert, Den Emerich of
