In the presentation df reasons, the York County team members took the top four spots. lisa Dobrosky ranked first with 93 points, followed in second place by Chris Sunday gamering 89 points. Brenda Walters was third with 89 points and Steve Trostle took fourth place with 87 points. Lisa Dobrosky racked up 577 points in the judging to finish up with the first place high individual overall. Chris Sunday took the second spot with 564 points. Brenda Walters- finished sixth with 515 points and Steve Trostle wound up seventh with 512. York County’s team totaled 1656 points to top second place Westmoreland County’s 1446 points. Lan caster took third with 1417 points, Fayette was fourth with 1343 points and Beaver finished fifth with 1179 points. Coaching the meats team were Kathy Sunday, York R 4, Richard and Tim Beck, Seven Valleys R 2, Peggy Brown, Brodbecks, and Tony Dobrosky, Glen Rock, R 2. Both the junior and senior livestock judging teams topped the heap at the end of two-day sheep, hog ana cattle evaluation. Seniors on the York County livestock judging team, which stood first with 1202 points, are Tim Beck, Seven Valleys, R 2; Brenda Werner, Hanover, R 2; Dave Wise, Spring Grove R 2 and Harris Wright, Abbottstown Rl. Lehigh County captured the second spot with 1183 points, third was Mon tgomery with 1131, Lan caster was fourth with 1122 points and Chester was fifth with 1120 points. Brenda Werner was named senior high in dividual after accumulating 414 points. In third place was Tim Beck with 401 points. Harris Wright and Dave Wise garnered 387 and 351 points respectively. York County’s first place junior livestock judging team is composed of Bob Livingston, Dover Rl, Laurie Dobrosky, Glen Rock R 2, Brian Utz, Hanover R 2, and Bill Wise, Spring Grove R 2. Bob Livingston’s 326 points won him the rank of first place high junior individual. Bill Wise placed second with 315; Laurie Dobrosky finished with 308 points and Brian Utz with 298 points. Second place team in the junior division went to Lancaster County with 913 points. Centre County finished in the third spot. Bill Holloway, Seven Valleys Rl, Ronald Trestle, Red Lion R 2, and Tony Dobrosky, Glen Rock R 2, coached the livestock judging teams. With state-days honors under their belts, practice will now intensify for the successful senior teams. National competition awaits in November, when the 4-H teams will head for Kansas City to judge at the American Royal Livestock Exposition.
