The Balmer girls dominated the aged cow class, winning both top places, and then going on to win senior and grand champion banners with the same animals. The champion Guernsey Junior Showman was Jay Garber; Mary Ann Witmer placed second. In the senior division, Connie and Carol Balmer won the titles. Results of the other colored breed shows were as follows: BROWN SWISS Lucinda Trimble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Trimble, Peach Bottom, won the junior championship ribbon with an intermediate calf. Jacqueline Kreider was the proud owner of the reserve junior champion, a junior yearling. The senior and grand champion belonged to Sandra Schmuck of Peach Bottom, who exhibited a 2- year old. Judy Witmer won the reserve banner on both counts. Tom’s animal was also the junior champion, while Gay Bukowski of Manheim won the reserve spot. Class winners were; Junior Calf - Gail Bukowski; Intermediate Calf - Sarah Arrowsmith; Senior Calf - Matt Arrowsmith; Junior Yearling - Patrick Bukowski, Manheim; Senior Yearling - Tom Arrowsmith; Two Year Olds - Matt Arrowsmith. AYRSHIRES Karen and Sandra Sch muck had the grand and reserve grand champion, repectively. Sandra’s entry was also the junior cham pion. Reserve junior champion honors went to Karen. Champion junior showman was Anita Brommer, the reserve champion was Kristina Esbenshade, while senior showman honors went to the Schmuck girls.
