Merv Shenk, Manheim, the 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shenk won the greased pig contest after that animal led him and all the other contestants on a merry chase throughout the area. He stated that he’s going to raise the pig and thought that the hardest part of a greased pig contest for him is trying to hang onto the animal after he gets his hands on it. John, 9, and Melvin Sander, 7, the sons of Mr. Harvey Sauder, added to their father’s placing earlier by chasing down both roosters that were allowed loose for someone to catch. This is Melvin’s third year at being the top chicken cat cher but John proudly stated that this was his first win ning. They explained their success by telling that all one has to do is run the chicken mto the ground to catch it. yield on your money... from a Government-Guaranteed Security.
