Sandy has participated in showing at fairs, “covering last place to first,” she remarked, and is presenty a 4-H helper with dairy, swine and vegetables. Other ac complishments include being selected as a semi finalist in the Junior Holstein Distinguished Member Contest and being a resident assistant at college. Looking towards the future, Sandy wants to continue to work with ■-ro* * * c: ■- / *s> *** & V - animals, hopefully as a veterinarian’s assistant. But at present she is very dedicated to promoting dairy products. She has even painted a sign on a barn at home which reads: DRINK MILK. Sandy stated that she feels very lucky and honored to serve as dairy princess for the state and her county as well. “It is a great way of learning and traveling,” she insisted. She also added that she thoroughly enjoys meeting new people because, “people are so different and are never the same in any area.” Grange meets VIRGINVILLE - Virgin ville Grange will serve a ham and turkey family style dinner on Mother’s Day at the Grange Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Help is needed to prepare the dinner. All members are asked to bring cakes. On May 16 the group will have their Italian sandwich sale. The Young Marrieds will sponsor the next dance which will be on May 20. Winners of the sewing con test were announced. First placings included: one piece dress, Mabel Bausher; two piece dress, Marilyn Plushanski; pant suit, Jane Hill; Class B, Karen Bausch; Class C, Carolyn Snyder; and Class E, Lillian Schlegal.
