—Lancaster Famine, Saturday, May 13,1978 110 11 to compete ATGLEN - The West Fallowfield Christian Day School located on Old Route 41 near Atglen will host the Chester County Dairy Princess contest on Satur day, May 20, at 8 p.m. Judging will begin at 3 p.m. by Jane and John Barley of Conestoga and Mrs. Lillian Roberts of Lancaster. Master of cere monies will be David Yoder, manager of Atlantic Breeders Co-op. Following the annual banquet, judging will continue as the 11 contestants present their three minute milk promotions. The program will be enhanced by selec tions presented by Miss Sherry Maser, pianist and musical instructor at Elkton Christian Schools, Elkton, Md. The 11 contestants par ticipating are: Beverly Hershey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Hershey, Cochranville. Beverly at tends Messiah College where she is majoring in home economics and has attained the dean’s list daring the Fall semester. Her interests range from Glen Hi 4-H sewing club to Octorara 4-H dairy club. Jane Kaiser, the 18-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kaiser of Lyndell, Downmgtown, is active on the track team and in her youth group. She plans a career in food preparation. Linda Yoder of Elverson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Yoder, attends Owen J. Roberts High School. She is interested in business training and working on the farm. Linda is a member of MYF and the Chester County 4-H club. Donna Roney, the 17-year old Oxford student and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. $24,100 tractor pull coming to Grantville GRANTVILLE - An NTPA tractor pulling con test to be held here this Summer is one of three pulls to be added to the NTPA’s Summer Circuit, bringing the total up to 34 events during the period between the end of May and the end of September. NTPA is the National Tractor Pullers Association. Lamborn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George P. Lamborn, Not tingham, attends Oxford Area High School. Brenda is a member of the Oxford home economics 4-H club and senior chorus. She would like to work with children as a life’s career. Carol Irene Pierce, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Pierce, Lincoln University, attends Oxford Area High School. She plans to go to college and even tually work with han dicapped children. Carol’s many activities include band front, senior chorus, church, and a trip to France with the French class. Erin Strohmaier is the daughter of Gottlieb and Mane Strohmaier of the Oxford area. Erin is at tending Goldey Beacom college majoring in executive secretary studies. While in high school she was in band front, National Honor Society, chorus, and Future Business Leaders of America. Patty Jenkins, Toughkenamon, daughter of William C. Jenkins, attends Kennett high. Patty’s time is spent as a candystnper at Coatesville Hospital, marching and concert bands, veterinarian assistant, assistant Sunday school teacher, 4-H teen leader, and secretary of Southern Chester County 4-H club. She plans to become a veterinarian assistant after completing high school. Nancy Peoples, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Peoples, Oxford, attends pionships at Greeley, Colo.; and the Saratoga Nationals in Saratoga, N.Y. The Grantville event will be held on May 29 and 30 at the Penn National State Fair at the Penn National Race Course just off 1-81, 20 miles northeast of Harrisburg. The two day event is being co sponsored by Muncy Chief Hybrids, a major NTPA awards sponsor from Muncy. This event is the second pull of the Summer circuit, and is the first Region I event, a Class B event for $24,100 in purses.
