Secretary of Agriculture Bob Bergland has extended the sign-up period for the program(s) from May 1 through May 15 because of changes announced March 29 m the program(s). On that date Secretary Bergland authorized additional diversion of cropland under the Feed Grain Program and permitted Wheat Program participants to graze out their wheat or harvest hay on a percentage of their planted acreage. The 20 per cent set-aside may be made from each crop separately. A minimum of 10 per cent set aside will be required based on the total feed grains planted.
