State forest roads closed

Goddard said recently that
91 miles of State Forest
roads in , nine Forest
Districts have been closed to
reduce costs of (he Depart
ment.
Closed will be 16.50 miles
in District 1, Fayetteville;
11.21 miles in District 2,
McConnellsburg; 25.06 miles
in District 3, Blain; 6.40
miles in District 4, Ligonier;
5.07 miles in District 9,
Clearfield; 12 miles in
District 12, South
Williamsport; 17.51 miles in
District 13, Emporium; and
4.87 miles in District 19,
Stroudsburg.
Inconvenience to forest
users will be held to a
minimum, Goddard said, as
roads selected have littlje
administrative value and

Dr. Clarence Snyder,
resident organist at
Longwood Gardens, Kennett
Square, will present the final
recital of the 1977-78 series
on Wednesday, April 12, at
8:30 p.m. Longwood’s
conservatories open at 7:30
p.m. and remain open for
one hour after the per
formance. Admission is $2.
Works by Bach, Franck,
Brahms, Kozinski, and
others will be performed at
the evening recital.
