Church St., Quarryville at 7 a.m. and Penn Hill Meeting House at 7:15 a.m. TRACTORS MACHINERY Recognition Program, reports Lloyd D. Miller, executive secretary of the American Angus Association. A listing of these elite Angus mothers will be published soon in the Angus Pathfinder Cow Report. Included will be about 1,100 females out of the more than 238,000 cows enrolled in the Angus Herd Improvement Records program. The program was adopted at the March meeting of the American Angus Association board of directors. The purpose of the program, is to identify above average producing Angus cows that calve at an early age and then on the average of every 12 months thereafter. There are two basic production requirements for a Pathfinder Cow. First she must be actively enrolled in the A.H.I.R. program, and have had her first calf on or before the average calving date for the herd she is in. She must have then produce and wean a calf on the average of every 12 months thereafter. Second, she must have produced at least three calves to be listed as a Pathfinder Cow and the average weaning weight ratio of these calves must be 105 or better when ratioed with a minimum of 10 herd mates that were weighed and evaluated at the same time.
