He will discuss the types available and the economics of wood and coal burning stoves, how to use Let’s quilt PARKESBURG - The Chester County Extension in cooperation with the Parkesburg Library will offer a course in quilting. The senes of four meetings will be held on Thursdays, April 6,13,20,27 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Parkesburg Library, 2nd Avenue and West Street, Parkesburg. The instruction will cover basic techniques for hand quilting, making a pattern, use of applique, patchwork, and creating a pillow top. A demonstration on how to make a quilting frame will be included. There is a fee for the course, the deadline for registration will be March 28, 1978. Representatives from the committee include nutrition experts from agencies, hospitals, schools, and various nutrition related organizations. Milking school YORK - Think your 'milking techniques need brushing up? Then plan to attend the York County Milking School, sponsored by the Extension Service on March 8 and 9 at the 4-H center near Bair. The two-day workshop will cover milking procedures, equipment, and udder management. An on-farm visit will be made on Wed nesday afternoon to demonstrate milking/ set for York equipment. During the Thursday session, students 4 will be dissecting an udder. Cost of the seminar is $lO per person, which includes lunch both days and all program expenses.
