sylvanians neglect to buy
licenses for their dogs. He
said that last year, less than
one million of the state’s
estimated two and one half

than 66,009 stray dogs had to
be humanely disposed of last
year in Pennsylvania, ad
ding that many were
someone’s lost pet.
“Licensing could have
prevented the loss of many
of these dogs. If you love
your dog, license it,” he
added.
The Agriculture Secretary
noted that he hoped that at
least half of the state’s dog
population could be licensed
this year. Licenses cost $1.29
for males and spayed

farmer received 52 per cent
of the food dollar, in. 1957 he
received 40 per cent in 1967
this had slipped to 39 per
cent and in 1977 the farmer’s
share was 38.5 per cent.
