ZIMMERMAN & SONS West of Blue Bail, PA on Route 23 717-3544955 very popular last year. Mrs. Rutt showed the small group how to make a very sturdy creation placed on a frame constructed from two-heavy wire frames. She remarked that most people use a single wire circle, but that she finds it easier to use two wires with each twine braid having its own wire for support. The twine may be new or used. Mrs. Rutt suggested that used twine should be cut from the bale at the knot in order to have the necessary length. The seasonal use of the twine wreath is less a factor of consideration than for many other decorations. Calico bows and figurines can replace the Christmas trim in order to remake a Christmas wreath. Mrs. Rutt’s twine wreath on display consisted of a calico bow and a comhusk doll. Materials needed: -One 15-inch, two-wire wreath frame purchased from craft store -Twine -Needle and yarn -Scissors -Desired ornaments such as ribbon, bow and figurine. Step one: cut twine in lengths of 92 inches (36), 82 inches (36) 50 inches (9). Step two: braid like-sized lengths. For the 36 strands of 92 inch long twine and the 36 strands of 82 inch long twine, tie a piece of twine onto the hank of strands about one and one-half feet down the hank.
