Reporter YORK, Pa. - A Suffolk weather won grand cham pion honors for Barbara Herr of Narvon during the September 11 open class market sheep show at the York Fair. The reserve award went to an animal exhibited by David Huff for Erdenheim Farm, Lafayette Hill. Barbara Herr, Narvon, won the grand champion trophy for open class market sheep during York Fair exhibitions. The Suffolk wether is destined for com petition in the Eastern National show in October where it will be sold after being exhibited. PA 17527 Phone 717-442-4171 Judge for the market sheep exhibit was Bin Keck, a former county agent in Bucks County, and an active livestock breeder. In the lightweight Cheviot class, David Huff was first; Erdenheim Farms, second and third; David Huff, fourth; and James Caudill, fifth. Erdenheim Farms went on to take first place in the heavyweight class and the breed championship. David Huff won second and third heavyweights, and breed reserve cham pionship. Nancy Eisenhart. Thomasville, was the lone exhibitor in the Corriedale breed class. She exhibited the first and second light weight, the first place heavyweight, and the York Fmr champion and reserve champion animals. The Dorset classes were mostly a battle of familiar 4- H exhibitors in York County. Laurie Dobrosky, Glen Rock, capped the first and second places in the light weight division.
