Weaver, Inc., headquartered in New Holland, held an Open House this week for its new processing plant in the Greenfield Industrial Park. The new 50,000 square foot structure houses shell egg processing, egg breaking and liquid egg packing, egg marketing and tran sportation departments. More than 70 people are employed in the new facility. With this new plant going into operation, Weaver’s Quality Eggs Inc. will have the capacity to handle 179 million eggs annually. Eggs are purchased from nearly 80 egg producers located within a 60-mile radius of the plant. After processing and packaging, finished products are distributed throughout the Northeast.
