Fifty-four Grange members and guests attended the meeting, with Washington, Eureka, Gideon, Red Lion and Biglersville Grange represented. Mrs. Lois Leatherly, lecturer of Washington Grange, chose as her theme, “Edible Wild Erbs and Plants.” This was followed by a panel discussion led by Mr. and Mrs. Leatherly on wild plants, with group participation. All those present were aksed to draw a wild flower to be judged for prizes. First prize winner was Gladys Sheffer, Red Lion; second, Ruth Zepp, Biglerville; and third, Harriet Strayer, Washington Grange. The last in the series of “Visitation Nite” programs for York-Adams Pomona Grange will be held at Washington Grange, Kralltown, on Apgust 23, beginning at 8 p.m., with Eureka Grange presenting the program. XXX ICECREAM 8 tablespoon cold water 4 tablespoon gelatine 2 quarts milk (scalded) 8 eggs 4Vz cups sugar Vz teaspoon salt 3 cans condensed milk 1 pint cream 1 teaspoon vanilla Pour cold water over gelatine. Scald milk and also pour over gelatine. In another bowl, beat eggs, add sugar, salt, milk, cream and vanilla. Pour together and mix well. Put in ice cream freezer and mix according to directions.
