Agway Liquid Suppteme makes a lot of sense... especially at pasture time ALS is Agway Liquid Supplement. It’s the new name for LPS, the protein balancer that has made profits for Northeastern farmers for the last dozen years. It’s the same unique, research-proven product that lactating cows, dry cows, heifers, and beef cattle consume to meet protein requirements. ALS makes good sense the year around but especially in the springtime when animals go out to graze. HFAA releases science report FARM AGWAY Lancaster farming, Saturday, March 26, 1977 highest producing breed of dairy cow. Most of the genetic progress that has been made for milk yield has resulted from sires selection. With artificial insemination, the very best bulls can be used extensively to sire future daughters and sons. For milk yield, the breed has improved genetically at a rate of about 220 pounds of milk per year over the last several years. Type or body con formation, also receives considerable emphasis in herd breeding programs in the United States. The results can be observed in the U.S. Holsteins tend to be larger, with more strongly attached udders and more acceptable feet and legs than Friesians from many other parts of the world. These characteristics have been recognized both in the U.S. and worldwide as those which contribute most to the profitability of a dairy herd. Copies of this Holstein Science Report are available from the information department, Holstein- Friesian Association of America. Constant use of leaded fuel in a car equipped with a catalytic converter is harm ful to the performance. While most gas stations are now equipped with pump nozzles that cannot put leaded fuel in cars that require the unleaded varieties, farm gas pumps may not have such provisions. Therefore, it pays to make sure to double check before putting leaded fuels in cars or farm trucks equipped with catalytic converters. TRY A CLASSIFIED AD!
