—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, Feb. 19, 1977 58 Maryland Holstein group will travel CHESTERTOWN, Md. - A peripatetic (traveling; classroom on herd management practices and type classification for dairy farmers has been scheduled at four locations in two days during National FFA Week by the Maryland Holstein- Friesian Association. Program assistance was provided by the Cooperative Extension Service at the University of Maryland in College Park. The traveling classroom will make stops at the farms of selected Holstein breeders across die state on Thursday and Friday (Feb. 24 and 25). It will start Thursday afternoon in the flatlands of the upper Eastern Shore; skirt around the Chesapeake Bay; head across the nor thern tier of counties comprising the rolling Piedmont area; and end up 24 hours later near the mountains in the Middletown Valley of western Frederick county. Each stop will consist of a two-hour session, with two guest speakers and informal reports on herd management by the in dividual farm owners. Participants will have a chance to inspect the host herds. Details of the schedule are as follows: Thursday, Feb. 24 Church Hill (Queen Aimes County) - 1:30 p.m. at Kinglea Farm southwest of Church Hill, or 10 miles southeast of Chestertown, off highway 213.
