Screiber, of Jersey Shore, Clinton County, won the championship in wheat classes; Stephen A. Seyler, of Loganton, Clinton County, won with his soybean sample; Dennis Wickard, of Carlisle, won in oats com petition; and Ed Wickard, of Carlisle, exhibited the champion rye sample. Lungs tested LANCASTER - The January Pulmonary Func tion Testing Program sponsored by the Lancaster County Lung Association will be held Tuesday, January 25, 1977. The test measures lung capacity and is advised for anyone who may be ex periencing breathing dif ficulties, has an unexplained cough and is a heavy smoker. Awards presented HONOLULU, Hawaii - Farm Bureaus from 48 states were honored here last week for their achievements in Farm Bureau programs. “Gold Star” awards were made to the 48 state organizations at the 58th annual meeting of the American Farm Bureau Federation. Eight states received two star awards for achieving their membership quota and receiving awards in one other program area. They are: New Jersey, Penn sylvania, Virginia, California, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi and Texas.
