Kerstetter has announced that the Governor’s Preview $4175 $4395 $1995 $lO5O $3795 $2529 $5295 Set Up s.u $4895 $5995 $1495 $ 600 $3OOO $ 950 800 $1595 $1295 and Press Day for this year’s Farm Show will place a special emphasis on our senior citizens. “The Governor’s Preview has become an annual tradition of the Farm Show,” Kerstetter said. “We hope that this 61st annual Farm Show will set another tradition: recognition of our senior citizens. This year the Governor’s Preview is Sunday, January 9, 1977. The theme for the show, January 10-14, is “Pennsylvania Agriculture: Toward Another Century.” The Governor’s Preview will include a presentation of gifts to the Governor by Pennsylvania’s commodity queens and senior citizens, and the Herrmann Royal Lipizzan Stallions Show. In past years, Kerstetter said, senior citizens have been guests during the first official day of the Farm Show. The change this year was made to provide them with easier access to the exhibits. The participation of the senior citizens in the Governor’s Preview is the result of cooperation among the Governor’s Office for the Aging, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Education, local AAA’s and the State Farm Show Commission. Aside from having the best 4-H tobacco, the Ephrata youth also exhibited the best corn in his class. He has both of his crops entered in the Farm Show. 39
