Awards were also presented to junior members whose registered Holstein’s showed the highest milk and fat averages for this past year. David Schantz took both the milk and fat honors in the two-year-old class with Jus cow’s average of 18,347 pounds of milk and 806 pounds of fat. •3, In the three-year-old category, Sharon Trout man’s animal recorded the highest milk figure with a 20,640 pound average, and Debbie Stump’s cow earned Debbie the fat award with a recorded average of 764 pounds of fat. David Schuler had the winner for both milk and fat in the four-year-old and over class. His animal recorded 20,438 pounds of milk and 834 pounds of fat. The Junior Association presented a special award to the Daniel Hamish family for hosting this summer’s Junior Holstein Association Field Day. In appreciation of donating their time and facilities for that event, the Harnish’s received a registered Holstein sign for their operation, Danvale Farms.
